FAQs
Please look over these frequently asked questions. We have found, these are the most commonly asked questions, but if you don't find the information are looking for here. Feel free to give us a call. You can also check our moving tips for more information.
Q: Do you bring pads for the furniture?
A: Most definitely. We take it even a step
further by padding many items in the house,
as opposed in the truck like many other
companies. For certain pieces we even pad
and stretch wrap them for extra protection.
Q: Will you disassemble and reassemble
her furniture?
A: Yes. Just let us know what you need
disassembled and reassembled and we will
include this service in your move price.
There are some set exceptions such as home
gyms, pool tables, and play sets. For these
items, we recommend you contact the vendor
you purchase them from.
Q: Do I need to empty out my drawers?
A: That depends. If it's just clothes in the
drawers, they do not need to be empty.
Linens and tablecloths can also stay and
drawers, but all other items should be
emptied from the drawers packed in boxes.
Q: Can you bring protection for floors?
A: Yes we can. We can provide protection for
all types of flooring including masonite,
padded floor runners, and plastic protection
for carpet. Just let your moving consultant
know that your move requires floor
protection. We also have doorjamb covers and
protect handrails with pads.
Q: Will the movers place the furniture
were I'd it in our new home.
A: Absolutely. Although you'll probably
move the furniture around many times after
we are gone, we want to give you a good
starting point. Just let the movers know
where you like your furniture, and they
would be happy to place it for you.
Q: Do you need to come to my house to
give me a quote.
A: In most cases, no. Our software system
allows us to give accurate quotes over the
phone. After we receive your information,
will send you a proposal by e-mail for you
to check over the accuracy of the factors
that determine your quote. If you discover
any errors, just give us a call, and we'll
make the proper corrections and send you a
new quote and writing.
Q: What happens if its raining?
A: It is very rare that the rain will
actually stop us from completing a move. It
can, however, slow us down.
Q: How do you determine the cost of the
move?
A: On local moves there are two options,
either an hourly rate or a guarantee price.
A guarantee price is determined by a list of
items to be moved, as well as the mileage
traveled. Obstacles we encounter getting
from your home to the truck with your items,
such as stairs, steep driveways, or long
carries, also are a factor in determining a
guarantee price.
Q: Should I tip the movers?
A: There is no set amount of gratuity
expected, such as in restaurants, but if you
feel like they did a great job, you should
feel free to tip them accordingly.
